Don’t Worry About a Thing…

Cast Your Cares on Him

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7 (KJV)

Hey, Family and Friends! ❤️

I just have to share this good news with you today—or whatever day you happen to be reading this blog.

Don’t worry about a thing…

Every little thing is gonna be alright! 👍

You hear me?!?!

Let me say that again for the people in the back! 😂

DON’T WORRY ABOUT A THING!

I truly believe somebody needs to hear that right NOW.

And when I say right now, I mean RIGHT NOW!

Okay, let me tell you how this whole blog vibe came about. ☺️

I’ve been worried about a few things happening in my own life. You know how it is—your mind starts running ahead of you, trying to figure out tomorrow, next week, next month, and situations you don’t even have the power to control.

And before you know it, you’re carrying something God never told you to carry.

That was me.

Until this morning.

It Started in the Laboratory… 🧪

As I was receiving blood specimens into the computer, I overheard one of our laboratory technicians singing:

“Don’t worry about a thing…”

And apparently that little tune was contagious! 😂

Another coworker started singing along while she was receiving her specimens into the computer.

Then guess what happened?

I started singing too! 😂

Catchy, huh?

You’re probably singing it right now while you’re reading this blog.

But here’s the funny part: somewhere in all of this, Toy Story and “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” got mixed into the conversation too. 😂

Different song. Same morning. Same message in my spirit:

You are not alone.

And suddenly, what started as coworkers casually singing in the laboratory became something much deeper to me.

I thought, Wait a minute…

God, are You trying to tell us something?

Sometimes the Message Comes Unexpectedly

Later, I went back to the laboratory technician and told her, “I’m going to blog about that song you were singing!”

And guess what she said?

“It was definitely needed.”

My spirit immediately responded:

“I can tell!”

Because let’s be real.

We all have those days.

Good days.

Bad days.

Horrific days. 😳

And those “Lord, I don’t even know WHAT kind of day this is!” days. 😂

And sometimes we don’t know what the person standing beside us is carrying.

That morning, I realized something:

What sounded like an ordinary song had changed the atmosphere.

Without even realizing it, this beautiful soul started singing something that everybody around her needed to hear.

Don’t worry.

You’re going to make it through this.

Keep going.

Every little thing is going to be alright.

Now, I’m not saying the song itself was a prophecy. But I do believe God can use an ordinary moment to remind us of an eternal truth.

And the truth is this:

God cares about what concerns us.

Oh, Believe Me—I Understand! 😂

Working in a busy blood-draw laboratory can get INTENSE.

We can see hundreds of patients in a day.

Patients are waiting.

The line can stretch around the corner and down the hall. 😳

Sometimes we’re short-staffed.

Sometimes supplies run low.

Patients may become frustrated because they’ve been waiting.

Phlebotomists are trying to keep everything moving while making sure every patient is treated safely and with care.

And meanwhile, everybody is looking around like:

“Lord… HELP!” 😂

So believe me—I get it!

But right there in the middle of the pressure came this simple reminder:

Don’t worry about a thing.

Not because everything around us is perfect.

Not because the workload suddenly disappeared.

Not because the line magically vanished.

But because God is still God in the middle of it.

CAST IT! 🙌🏽

The Bible says:

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7

Notice that word:

CASTING.

That means I don’t have to keep carrying everything.

Cast the workload.

Cast the family situation.

Cast the sickness.

Cast the anxiety.

Cast the financial crisis.

Cast the fear.

Cast the uncertainty.

Cast the things keeping you awake at night.

Cast the things you cannot fix.

Cast the things you cannot control.

CAST IT!

Why?

Because He cares for YOU.

Sometimes we’re praying, “God, please take this!”

And I can almost imagine God saying:

“Then let go of it.”

We can’t cast something to Him and keep holding the other end of it.

God Has Us

God never promised that every day would be easy.

He never said we wouldn’t experience pressure, disappointment, uncertainty, or difficult seasons.

But He did promise His presence.

“I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” — Hebrews 13:5

That’s the assurance.

The situation may not change immediately.

The workload may still be there.

The bills may still need to be paid.

The doctor’s appointment may still be on the calendar.

The answer you’re waiting for may not have arrived yet.

But God says:

I’m still here.

When you can see Me—I’m here.

When you can’t see Me—I’m here.

When you understand what I’m doing—I’m here.

And when absolutely NOTHING makes sense—

I’m still here.

So today, I’m taking my own advice.

I’m releasing what I’ve been worried about.

I’m giving God the things I cannot control.

And maybe that’s exactly what He’s asking you to do too.

🍃 Aha Moment

Worry says, “I have to figure this out.”

Faith says, “God already knows how this turns out.”

Maybe everything isn’t alright yet.

But you don’t have to wait until everything changes before you trust the One who never changes.

So breathe.

Pray.

Do what you can do.

And give God what you cannot do.

Then keep moving.

Because sometimes God will send you a reminder through Scripture.

Sometimes through prayer.

Sometimes through another person.

And apparently…

sometimes He’ll let a whole laboratory start singing until you finally get the message! 😂🙌🏽

Don’t worry about a thing.

God’s got you.

Cast your cares on Him—because He cares for YOU. ❤️
