It’s Been Long Enough!
“Stuck In A Buggy!”
Hey Bloggers,
How much longer?
Are you not tired yet?
Come on now! Enough is enough. Please stop with all the excuses. As a matter of fact, it’s wearing me out!
Now you might say, “Why are you being so hard?”
I’m not being hard. I am being honest.
You may say, “Why won’t you sympathize with me? Don’t you see my struggle?”
Yes, I do. I see your struggle. I understand your pain. I sympathize with what you have been through. But how much longer do you want people to sympathize with your struggle while you stay in the same place?
At some point, sympathy is not enough. Feeling sorry for you will not help you move forward. It will not heal you. It will not deliver you. It will not make you better.
I get the struggle. I really do. I have been there and done that. I have been stuck in a muddy situation where I felt like I could not get out. I know what it feels like to want to move forward but feel like the wheels of your life are not turning.
That is what I mean by being stuck in a buggy.
Being stuck in a buggy is finding yourself in a season where you know God has given you direction, but something is keeping you from moving. It may be fear. It may be doubt. It may be comfort. It may be unforgiveness. It may be disappointment. It may be waiting too long for something God already showed you was over.
It is like sitting in a buggy with wheels stuck in the mud. You want to go somewhere, but something is holding you back.
But here is the truth: God never intended for you to live permanently stuck.
I truly believe God is asking many of us, “How much longer will you stay there?”
How much longer will you remain in fear?
How much longer will you keep doubting yourself?
How much longer will you keep overthinking?
How much longer will you allow your faith to feel stalled?
How much longer will you sit in a place that no longer has life, movement, or purpose?
There comes a time when you have to make a decision. You have to decide that you are not going to stay stuck in the mud anymore.
I can speak from experience.
After my separation from my ex-spouse, I could have stayed mentally attached to a marriage that was already over. He had gone on with his life, but in my mind, I was still hoping and praying in that muddy buggy, waiting for him to return.
But truth was standing right in front of me.
He was not coming back.
The house no longer felt like home. The relationship was no longer there. The marriage had ended, but my mind and emotions were still trying to live in something that no longer existed.
And at some point, I had to ask myself, “How long am I going to stay here?”
How long was I going to remain in a place of unhappiness? How long was I going to hurt myself by refusing to accept the truth? How long was I going to stay stuck in something God was giving me the strength to come out of?
No fault to my ex-husband. I actually commend him for being honest about where he was. He made his decision, and now he can move forward and live the rest of his life.
But then I had to make mine.
I had to decide to come out of agreement with unhealthy patterns, emotional bondage, and places that were no longer helping me grow. I had to decide that it was okay to move on.
And let me tell you something: it is okay to move on.
It is okay to heal.
It is okay to breathe again.
It is okay to let go.
It is okay to accept truth.
It is okay to get out of the buggy.
Maybe you have been feeling trapped by fear, hurt, disappointment, rejection, or something from your past. Maybe you have been sitting in the same emotional place for too long. Maybe you know God has more for you, but you keep rehearsing what happened instead of reaching for what is next.
Please allow yourself to process this message.
Pray and ask God to deliver you out of that stuck place. Ask Him to show you what you need to learn. Ask Him for wisdom, understanding, healing, and courage.
Deliverance and healing are processes. Give yourself grace. Give yourself time. But do not use time as an excuse to stay stuck forever.
God sees your condition. He knows your heart. He understands your pain. But He is also calling you forward.
So today, I want to encourage you:
It’s been long enough.
Long enough crying over what left.
Long enough sitting in what broke you.
Long enough waiting for people to change.
Long enough replaying old pain.
Long enough living in fear.
Long enough being stuck in the buggy.
Now it is time to get up, wipe the mud off, take God by the hand, and move forward.
You are not too broken.
You are not too late.
You are not forgotten.
You are not finished.
The wheels may have been stuck, but your life is not over.
God still has purpose for you. God still has healing for you. God still has joy for you. God still has movement for you.
Come out of the buggy.
It’s been long enough.
Until your next Aha Moment…
May you find the courage to leave the muddy places behind, embrace God’s truth, and move forward into the healing, peace, and purpose He has waiting for you.
