Psalm 91
There’s something about the weekend that slows my spirit down — in the best way. I don’t blog as heavily on Saturday and Sunday, and honestly, I like that. It forces my mind to rest, reset, and lean in to hear God’s voice.
And this morning, as I lay in my cozy bed, wrapped in quiet, I heard a thunderous whisper from God:
You are surrounded.
You are protected.
You are covered.
It sank deep.
Because if we’re being honest, the people of God often live under heavy spiritual fire.
We become targets:
• of satan’s devices,
• of lies whispered into our mind,
• of attacks coming out of nowhere,
• of slander from people we trusted,
• of situations designed to confuse, delay, and derail us.
The enemy’s agenda is simple:
Disrupt. Distract. Discourage. Destroy.
He doesn’t care who he uses, how he uses them, or what part of your heart he aims for. His only desire is to dethrone the plan of God in your life.
But in the midst of this spiritual chaos, I hear the Lord saying one word over and over again:
FOCUS.
• Focus on God.
• Focus on His intentional plan for your life.
• Focus on closing every door the enemy once used.
• Focus on your purpose-driven assignment.
• Focus on community, connection, and love.
• Focus on everything God told you to build, guard, and protect.
Because yes — the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But we don’t have to submit to his attacks. We don’t have to bend beneath his pressure. We don’t have to lose our focus.
Our eyes must stay on Jesus.

A Personal Testimony
Let me share something real — something raw.
It took me years, and I mean years, to understand what God was doing in my life. Strength and perseverance were being built in me long before I knew what those words even meant.
I didn’t understand it when I lost my mother as a young teenager trying to survive in South Central LA. Boarder Line homeless- living here and there until I married.
I didn’t understand it when my friends and I stood at the bus stop, and some gangbangers drove by and started shooting and spraying bullets at us.
I didn’t understand it when I grew up without a father — and when I finally met him, he didn’t believe I was his daughter. What should have been a moment of connection turned into a moment of trauma when he violated my trust. By the grace of God, I escaped from his presence and never returned.
I didn’t understand it when I dated men who only wanted me for my body. And the moment I told them, after salvation, “No sex — I’m living holy now,” they disappeared like mist.
I didn’t understand it when after 31 years of marriage, it all ended — without clarity, answers, but closure I did receive from God.
But now?
As I look back?
I wouldn’t change a thing.
Because every breaking built backbone.
Every wound built wisdom.
Every loss built leadership.
Every disappointment built discernment.
Every betrayal built boundaries.
Every season built strength.
Every storm developed resilience.
And every moment — even the ones that felt unbearable — became a brick in the foundation of the woman I am today:
A woman of character.
A woman of resilience.
A woman of integrity.
A woman of faith.
A woman carrying hope for others.
Through every difficult chapter, I was learning this one truth:
**I was surrounded.
I was protected.
I was covered.**
Even when I didn’t see it.
Even when I didn’t feel it.
Even when my life looked nothing like victory.
God’s hand was there.
His angels were there.
His shield was there.
His covering was there.
And beloved, the same covering rests on you.
✨ REVELATION POINTS
1️⃣ I AM SURROUNDED
Psalm 91:11 – “For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”
📌 Revelation Point #1 — God Has Formed a Divine Perimeter Around You
You are never standing alone. Heaven has built a border of protection around your life.
Angels are literally stationed at the north, south, east, and west of your destiny.
Before danger can reach you, it has to go through God — and nothing gets past Him unnoticed.
📌 Revelation Point #2 — The Surrounding Does Not Stop Attacks, It Stops Defeat
Being surrounded does not mean you will never face storms or spiritual opposition.
It means the enemy cannot overtake you. Even when weapons form, they cannot prosper because heaven has already blocked, rerouted, or weakened the impact.
📌 Revelation Point #3 — God Surrounds You to Interrupt the Enemy’s Plans
There were things meant to break you, but God surrounded you.
There were traps meant to take your life, but God surrounded you.
There were words spoken to cripple your spirit, but God surrounded you.
You are still here because God enclosed you in His presence.
⸻
2️⃣ I AM PROTECTED
Psalm 91:4 — “He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust.”
📌 Revelation Point #1 — God Protects What He Has Purposed
You are not protected because you are perfect — you are protected because you are purposed.
What God invests in, He guards. His protection over you is a sign that you carry destiny.
📌 Revelation Point #2 — His Protection Looks Different Than What You Expected
Sometimes God protects you by removing people.
Sometimes He protects you by closing a door you prayed would stay open.
Sometimes He protects you through disappointment, delay, or detours —
because what you thought you wanted would have destroyed you.
📌 Revelation Point #3 — God’s Protection Is Both Seen and Unseen
You can look back and see the visible moments:
• the accident you avoided
• the relationship that ended
• the job that didn’t work
• the betrayal that exposed itself
But there are unseen protections too — moments God never allowed you to walk into.
Battles you didn’t have to fight.
Attacks that never reached your address.
Trouble that never found your name.
Protection is not something God does — it’s who He is.
⸻
3️⃣ I AM COVERED
Psalm 91:1 — “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
📌 Revelation Point #1 — The Covering Is a Place of Divine Safety
God’s covering isn’t a tent — it’s a realm.
When you dwell in Him, you live under a supernatural shadow where the enemy loses visibility and access.
You become hidden in God.
You become untouchable by darkness.
📌 Revelation Point #2 — God Covers Your Mind, Emotions, and Future
Being covered is not just about physical danger.
God covers the parts of you the enemy loves to attack:
• your thoughts
• your confidence
• your identity
• your purpose
His covering stabilizes what life tried to destabilize.
📌 Revelation Point #3 — Covering Means God Fights Battles You Don’t Even Know About
You are covered when you sleep.
Covered when you work.
Covered when you feel weak.
Covered when your heart is broken.
Covered when you don’t understand what God is doing.
The covering of God is the reason you didn’t lose your mind.
The reason your spirit didn’t collapse.
The reason your faith survived the fire.
You are covered — past, present, and future.
✨ REVELATION SUMMARY
When you step back and look at the whole picture, God is revealing three powerful layers of His care over your life:
1️⃣ You Are Surrounded — Heaven Has You Completely Enclosed
Nothing reaches you without passing through God’s permission.
You are not walking through life unguarded; you are wrapped in a divine perimeter of angelic defense.
2️⃣ You Are Protected — Purpose Comes With Preservation
Every battle you survived, every attack that failed, every disappointment that redirected you —
was proof that God Himself has been shielding your destiny.
What He has invested in, He protects.
3️⃣ You Are Covered — Hidden Under the Shadow of the Almighty
Your mind, heart, emotions, and future are not exposed to the enemy.
You live under a supernatural canopy where God fights battles you never have to see.
His covering keeps what life tried to break from destroying you.
Together these truths testify:
The enemy may have formed the weapon, but God blocked the impact.
You have been carried, guarded, hidden, and kept — even when you didn’t realize it.
⸻
✨ POWERFUL CONCLUSION
When you look back over your life, the evidence is undeniable —
you were never alone, never unprotected, never uncovered.
You didn’t survive because you were strong.
You survived because God surrounded you.
You didn’t endure because you had all the answers.
You endured because God protected you.
You didn’t make it through because everything made sense.
You made it because God covered you.
Every heartbreak, every loss, every betrayal, every dark season, every tear —
became part of a testimony that hell could not silence.
You are standing today as a witness that God’s hand has been on you the entire time.
His presence has never failed you. His mercy has never left you. His angels have never abandoned you.
Lift your head, daughter of God.
Straighten your shoulders, son of purpose.
You are not walking into this next season by yourself.
God is going before you.
God is fighting for you.
God is surrounding, protecting, and covering you — STILL.
And because of that truth, you can walk boldly, confidently, and fearlessly into everything God ordained.
⸻
✨ CLOSING PRAYER
Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank You for Your divine covering.
Thank You for surrounding us when we didn’t know danger was near.
Thank You for protecting us from attacks we didn’t see and battles we didn’t understand.
Thank You for covering our mind, our heart, our purpose, and our future under the shadow of Your Almighty presence.
Lord, help us to stay focused — focused on Your voice, Your will, and Your purpose.
Close every door that gives the enemy access, and strengthen every place in us that still feels fragile.
Remind us daily that we are not walking this life alone.
God, You go before us. You fight for us. You stand with us.
Let Psalm 91 be our shield, our confidence, and our resting place.
Surround us again.
Protect us again.
Cover us again.
And let Your glory remain upon us.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
