WHAT’S THE HURRY?!? 🐇⏰🤣

Where are you going?

Why are you running?

And WHO TOLD YOU THAT YOU WERE LATE?!?

Hold on! Hold on!

Before you grab your purse, your keys, your shoes, and start running out the door, I need you to answer one very important question!

ARE YOU REALLY LATE, OR ARE YOU JUST TIRED OF WAITING?!? 🤔

Ooooooh! Now that’s a question worth thinking about!

Well, Blog Friends and Family, it’s late, and here I am, wide awake, wanting to blog!

I believe it’s the unction of the Holy Ghost prompting me to write tonight. Perhaps God wants to remind somebody about the importance of WAITING in a season when everybody seems to be in a hurry!

And I mean a HURRY! 🤣

As I was thinking about this blog, that funny little White Rabbit from Disney’s Alice in Wonderland came to mind!

Y’all remember him, don’t you?!? 🐇

That little rabbit was ALWAYS running around, looking at his pocket watch, worried about being late for something!

He didn’t have time to say hello!

He didn’t have time to say goodbye!

He was just LATE! LATE! LATE! 🤣🤣🤣

And you know what makes it even funnier?

I never really knew where that little rabbit was going or WHY he was in such a hurry!

All I knew was that he was RUNNING! 😂

But hold on!

ISN’T THAT HOW SOME OF US ARE LIVING OUR LIVES?!?

Running!

Rushing!

Worrying!

Trying to make something happen because we believe we’re running out of time!

But let me ask you something.

WHAT IF YOU’RE NOT RUNNING OUT OF TIME?

WHAT IF YOU’RE SIMPLY IN GOD’S WAITING ROOM?!? ❤️

🌱 In Due Season, You Shall Reap!

Galatians 6:9 (KJV)

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Now, let’s talk about this!

You’ve heard that scripture before, haven’t you?

Of course you have!

IN DUE SEASON, YOU SHALL REAP IF YOU FAINT NOT!

Right?!?

Of course I’m right! 🤣

God’s promises are YES and AMEN! 🙏

But notice something very important about that scripture.

It doesn’t say you shall reap when YOU decide it’s time!

It doesn’t say you shall reap because you’re tired of waiting!

And it certainly doesn’t say you shall reap because everybody around you seems to be moving ahead!

It says:

IN DUE SEASON!

Not your season!

Not your neighbor’s season!

Not your best friend’s season!

But DUE SEASON!

And whose timing determines that season?

GOD’S TIMING! ❤️

Now, here’s something I want you to think about.

WHAT IF YOU’RE STANDING AT THE VERY EDGE OF YOUR REAPING SEASON, BUT YOU’RE ABOUT TO FAINT?!?

Why?!?

Because you’re tired?

Because you’re exhausted?

Because you’ve waited long enough?

Because you don’t want to wait another day?

Well, let me ask you something.

WHAT SENSE DOES IT MAKE TO GIVE UP NOW?!?

You’ve prayed!

You’ve believed!

You’ve trusted!

You’ve endured!

And now you’re considering walking away because things haven’t happened according to YOUR timetable?

Oh, come on now!

Don’t let impatience talk you out of what faith has been teaching you to believe God for!

⏰ Are You Late for Something God Forgot About?

Now, here’s another question!

WHAT’S THE HURRY?!?

Where are you trying to get to?

And are you late for something that God somehow forgot about?

OH, I HEARD YOU! 👂🤣

You thought I didn’t hear that!

You said:

“But I’ve been waiting for YEARS!”

“I don’t have time to wait anymore!”

“Everybody else is moving forward!”

“When is it going to be MY TURN?!?”

Okay!

Let’s be serious NOW!

Philippians 4:6 (KJV) says:

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

Now, my question to you is this:

WHY ARE YOU ANXIOUS ABOUT SOMETHING GOD TOLD YOU TO PRAY ABOUT?!?

Ooooooh! That one might sting a little! ❤️

But think about it!

God didn’t tell us to worry our way into His promises.

He didn’t tell us to manipulate circumstances.

He didn’t tell us to force doors open.

And He certainly didn’t tell us to run around like that little White Rabbit, checking our watches every five minutes! 🐇🤣

He told us to PRAY!

He told us to TRUST!

And He told us to WAIT!

Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV) reminds us:

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”

“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

We are not in control of the timing of God’s promises.

And sometimes our own understanding is limited because God hasn’t revealed everything we need to know.

So what do we do?

TRUST HIM ANYWAY!

🌴 Go Sit Down Somewhere and WAIT! 🤣

Yes!

You heard me!

GO!

SIT DOWN SOMEWHERE!

AND WAIT! 😂

Find yourself a nice shady tree, pull up a chair, get yourself something cold to drink, and COOL OFF!

YES, COOL OFF! 🤣🤣🤣

Because some of us are working ourselves into a frenzy trying to make something happen that God never instructed us to put our hands on!

Psalm 27:14 (KJV) says:

“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”

There it is!

WAIT!

And again I say:

WAIT!

I know!

I get it!

This blog might be a little hard to swallow!

But guess what?

SWALLOW IT! 🤣❤️

And while you’re swallowing it, let that truth take deep root in the soil of your mind and heart!

Because God wants us to trust Him during the waiting seasons of our lives.

We have no more time to waste trying to manufacture what only God can bring to pass.

And sometimes moving ahead of God can cost us more time than waiting ever would!

Think about that!

You might spend years trying to recover from one decision you made because you refused to wait.

And who has time for THAT?!?

NOT ME! 🤣

🙏 While You’re Under That Tree, PRAY!

Now, don’t misunderstand me!

Waiting doesn’t mean doing absolutely nothing!

Oh, NO!

There is plenty to do while you’re waiting!

And one of the most important things you can do is PRAY!

While you’re sitting under that tree cooling off, have yourself a conversation with your Heavenly Father! 🌴❤️

Talk to Him!

Seek His counsel!

Ask Him questions!

Ask Him for wisdom!

Ask Him for understanding!

And most importantly, ask Him to prepare YOU for the very thing you’ve been praying for!

Because here’s something we don’t always consider.

WHAT IF THE PROMISE IS READY TO COME, BUT YOU STILL NEED PREPARATION TO CARRY IT?!?

Ooooooh!

Now we’re getting somewhere!

Sometimes we’re so focused on receiving the promise that we forget about the responsibility that comes WITH the promise!

And trust me, some blessings come with WEIGHT!

Not bad weight!

But responsibility!

Commitment!

Discipline!

Maturity!

And spiritual endurance!

James 1:5 (KJV) says:

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

So ASK!

Don’t sit there worrying!

Don’t sit there complaining!

And don’t sit there comparing your life to everybody else’s!

PRAY!

In my own personal testimony, prayer has been the key to so many things concerning my life.

Because one thing I’ve learned is that WE DON’T KNOW EVERYTHING!

And even the things we THINK we know can sometimes turn into one big WHAT IF moment! 🤣

Why?

Because we don’t always have the full picture!

But GOD DOES!

❤️ Stop Asking Everybody Else Before You Ask God!

Now, let me ask you another question!

Why is it that sometimes we will call everybody in our phone before we talk to the One who actually knows the answer?!?

We’ll call our closest friend!

We’ll call our family members!

We’ll call somebody who gave us good advice ten years ago!

And because they helped us before, we automatically assume they have the answer to THIS situation!

Now, don’t get me wrong!

There is nothing wrong with seeking wise counsel!

Proverbs 11:14 (KJV) reminds us:

“Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.”

But here’s the thing!

GOOD COUNSEL SHOULD NEVER REPLACE OUR DEPENDENCE ON GOD!

Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:7 (KJV):

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:”

So go ahead!

DO WHAT HE SAID!

ASK!

SEEK!

KNOCK!

His ears are open to the prayers of His children.

And even though He already knows what we need before we ask, He still invites us to come to Him!

Don’t forget to consult the One who knows the beginning, the middle, and the end!

🌱 Your Waiting Season Is Your Growing Season!

Now, this is where I really want you to pay attention!

DON’T TAMPER WITH WHAT GOD PROMISED YOU!

Don’t start pulling things apart because they aren’t happening fast enough!

Don’t force relationships!

Don’t manufacture opportunities!

Don’t push open doors God hasn’t instructed you to walk through!

And don’t allow impatience to convince you that God has forgotten about you!

Isaiah 55:8–9 (KJV) reminds us:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.”

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

His ways are HIGHER!

His thoughts are HIGHER!

And His timing is not limited by our expectations!

So while you’re waiting…

BE STILL!

GROW!

MATURE!

DEVELOP!

BECOME STRONGER!

Because waiting is not always about God withholding something from you.

Sometimes it’s about God developing something WITHIN you!

Patience!

Wisdom!

Discernment!

Self-control!

Endurance!

Faith!

And the spiritual maturity necessary to handle what comes next!

You see, we often pray for the promise without realizing the strength required to maintain it.

But what if the thing God promised you is WEIGHTY?!?

What if it requires more strength than you currently possess?

What if it requires greater spiritual discipline?

What if it requires a level of maturity that God is developing in you RIGHT NOW?

You cannot carry everything God has for you in the strength of your flesh!

Some things require supernatural strength!

Some things require endurance!

And some things can only be sustained through the JOY OF THE LORD!

Nehemiah 8:10 (KJV) reminds us:

“For the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

So perhaps the waiting isn’t wasted time after all!

Perhaps it’s your training ground!

Your preparation season!

Your strengthening season!

Your season of learning how to depend completely upon the Lord!

💡 Today’s Aha Moment! ❤️

Well, Blog Friends and Family!

Before we close, I want you to remember that funny little White Rabbit! 🐇⏰🤣

Running!

Rushing!

Checking his watch!

Worried about being late for a very important date!

But here’s my question.

WHAT IF YOU’RE SO BUSY WATCHING THE CLOCK THAT YOU’RE MISSING WHAT GOD IS DOING IN THE WAIT?!?

What if you’re so focused on WHEN that you’ve forgotten WHO made the promise?

What if you’re exhausting yourself trying to arrive somewhere God has already appointed a time for?

And what if the greatest thing God is doing in this season isn’t simply preparing the promise…

BUT PREPARING YOU?!? ❤️

Oh, that’s GOOD!

Because the truth is, waiting on God doesn’t mean you’re behind!

It doesn’t mean you’re forgotten!

And it certainly doesn’t mean you’ve missed your opportunity!

It means you have an opportunity to trust the One who holds your times and seasons in His hands!

So stop running like that little rabbit!

Put your watch away!

Take your hands off what God hasn’t told you to touch!

PRAY!

TRUST!

GROW!

AND WAIT!

Because Ecclesiastes 3:11 (KJV) reminds us:

“He hath made every thing beautiful in his time…”

Not your time!

Not my time!

HIS TIME!

And here’s my final thought:

DON’T BE IN SUCH A HURRY TO RECEIVE THE PROMISE THAT YOU MISS THE PREPARATION NECESSARY TO CARRY IT!

Because what God has for you may require more than your excitement to receive it.

It may require the strength, wisdom, maturity, and endurance that only a season of waiting can produce!

So, my brothers and sisters…

GO SIT DOWN UNDER THAT TREE! 🌴🤣

COOL OFF!

TALK TO YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER!

And remember…

YOU DON’T HAVE TO RUN AHEAD OF GOD TO ARRIVE ON TIME FOR WHAT HE HAS APPOINTED FOR YOU! ❤️

Now THAT’S an Aha Moment worth waiting for! 💡🙌
