The Squirrel šŸæļø That Lost Its Pearls

Where Is Your Spiritual Discernment?

Matthew 7:6 (KJV)

ā€œGive not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.ā€

Hey, Blog Friends and Family! ā¤ļø

You already know! Let’s walk this blog out and have ourselves a little fun!

But first, I have a question!

WHAT IN THE WORLD DOES A SQUIRREL HAVE TO DO WITH LOSING ITS PEARLS?!Ā šŸæļøšŸ¤£

I know! Squirrels don’t carry pearls!

But stay with me because we’re going somewhere with this one!

šŸ’Ž The Value of Your Pearls

Have you ever shared valuable lessons or precious information with someone who seemed like they couldn’t care less?

What about sharing something with the intention of helping someone, only to discover they never applied what you shared?

Or have you ever repeated the SAME THING over and over until you finally said:

YOU KNOW WHAT?! I’M NOT SAYING ANOTHER WORD! 🤣

I’ve been there!

Sharing, sharing, and sharing some more!

And wouldn’t you know it? It went in one ear and straight out the other!

Didn’t even stop for a coffee break on its way through! ā˜•šŸ¤£

People who genuinely desire to help others often share knowledge because they want to see someone grow, learn, and make better decisions.

But after a while, it becomes exhausting when you continue pouring into someone who shows no interest in applying what you’ve shared.

Yet, we keep sharing!

WHY?!

Because sometimes our desire to help becomes greater than our ability to recognize when it’s time to stop talking and start exercising spiritual discernment!

šŸ‘€ Where Is Your Spiritual Discernment?

Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:6 not to cast our pearls before swine.

Now, what does that mean?

Pearls represent something precious and valuable, such as spiritual wisdom and sacred truth.

Spiritual discernment is the God-given ability to distinguish between good and evil, truth and deception, and what aligns with God’s will.

In the times we’re living in, we need spiritual discernment more than ever!

Because deception doesn’t always announce itself!

The enemy doesn’t always show up waving a big red flag saying:

HEY! HERE I AM! I’VE COME TO DECEIVE YOU! 🚩🤣

Oh, no!

That’s why we must remain prayerful, watchful, and grounded in God’s Word.

Jesus teaches us that not everyone will recognize, respect, or appreciate what is sacred.

But this doesn’t mean we stop loving or helping people.

It means we must learn when to speak, when to remain silent, and when to leave the results in God’s hands!

šŸæļø Now, What About That Squirrel?!

Okay, Blog Friends and Family!

I know some of y’all are wondering:

LAURETTA! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SQUIRREL?! 🤣🤣

Well, here he comes!

Do y’all remember that hilarious little squirrel named Scrat from the animated movie Ice Age?

Oh, my goodness!

That little squirrel had ONE mission!

GET THAT ACORN!Ā šŸŒ°šŸæļø

Every time he got close to catching it, something happened!

It slipped away!

It rolled away!

And there went Scrat, running, jumping, falling, and chasing it all over again!

Y’all, that poor squirrel couldn’t catch a break! 🤣

But here’s what caught my attention.

Scrat was so determined to hold on to that acorn that he repeatedly found himself in chaos!

Now, I know Scrat was chasing an acorn, not a pearl.

But spiritually speaking, aren’t we sometimes just like that squirrel?

We keep chasing!

Keep explaining!

Keep repeating ourselves!

Trying to convince people to receive wisdom they may not be willing to apply!

And somewhere along the way, we become frustrated and exhausted.

But here’s the question: Are we protecting our pearls, or are we so busy chasing the acorn that we’re losing sight of what’s truly valuable?

Hmmmm! šŸ¤”

🌱 Plant the Seed and Let God Give the Increase!

1 Corinthians 3:6 (KJV) says:

ā€œI have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.ā€

Did you catch that?!

Paul planted!

Apollos watered!

BUT GOD GAVE THE INCREASE!

Sometimes we become frustrated because we want to see immediate results from the wisdom we’ve shared.

But we cannot force someone to receive or apply what we’ve taught them.

We can encourage!

We can pray!

We can share wisdom!

But ultimately, people must make their own decisions.

And sometimes the greatest demonstration of spiritual discernment is knowing when you’ve done your part!

You can plant the seed, but you cannot make it grow!

šŸ’” Lauretta’s Aha Moment!

Well, Blog Friends and Family!

Who would have thought a little squirrel chasing an acorn could teach us something about spiritual discernment?! šŸæļøšŸ¤£

But here’s what I want you to remember.

Not everything valuable that God places in your hands is meant to be continually offered to someone who refuses to recognize its worth.

Sometimes we become so busy chasing people, conversations, and situations that we lose our own peace.

And just like Scrat, we keep running in circles!

So here’s the AHA MOMENT!

SPIRITUAL DISCERNMENT ISN’T JUST KNOWING THE VALUE OF YOUR PEARLS. IT’S KNOWING WHEN TO SHARE THEM, WHERE TO PLACE THEM, AND WHEN TO STOP CHASING PEOPLE WHO REFUSE TO RECOGNIZE THEIR WORTH!Ā šŸ’Ž

Remember, the pearls don’t lose their value simply because someone fails to recognize their worth!

So keep loving!

Keep praying!

Keep encouraging!

But learn when to release the outcome into God’s hands.

DON’T BECOME SO BUSY CHASING THE ACORN THAT YOU LOSE SIGHT OF THE PEARLS GOD HAS ALREADY ENTRUSTED TO YOU!

And somebody PLEASE tell Scrat to leave that acorn alone for ONE WHOLE MINUTE! šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸæļøšŸŒ°

Until next time, Blog Friends and Family!

Protect your pearls, exercise spiritual discernment, and let God give the increase!Ā ā¤ļø
