Itâs Me, O Lord
I keep hearing that song in my spirit â
âIt wonât always be like this. God will perfect that which concerns me.â
Now thatâs powerful!
It wonât always be like this. But before change comes, we must be willing to look at ourselves honestly â to acknowledge who and what we see in the mirror and take full accountability for it.
đż Accountability Is Key
In order to move from where you are to where God is taking you, you must first hold yourself to a higher standard. Take responsibility for your actions â whether positive or negative.
And trust me, taking responsibility isnât always bad.
Even when itâs painful, it can still be purposeful.
Every setback, tragedy, or heartbreak â all those ânegativeâ moments â are often teachable moments.
Theyâre not there to destroy you; theyâre there to shape you.
So stop playing the blame game. Stop pointing fingers at others for what you see in your reflection.
Sometimes, God allows certain situations not to punish us, but to teach us, to strengthen us, to fortify our faith, and to prepare us to walk boldly and confidently in His purpose.
đïž Look Again â Really Look
God says, âGo back and take a look in the mirror.â
Stand there. Donât rush away.
Look closely â and really see yourself.
Look at your face.
Look at your scars.
Look at your eyes, your wrinkles, your beauty marks â those are your stories.
Every mark tells of your journey, your growth, your pain, and your triumph.
God says, âKeep looking until you absolutely love what you see.â
Because what youâre seeing is My masterpiece.
â€ïž You Are Beautifully Made
The enemy wants you to be hard on yourself.
He wants you to focus on shame, regret, or failure.
But the devil is a liar.
He is the accuser of the brethren â always whispering, âLook at what you did⊠look at who you were.â
But God whispers back,
âIf you confess your sins, I am faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.â (1 John 1:9)
So now, look in that mirror again and say:
âI am loved.â
âI am redeemed.â
đž See What God Sees
Every day, when you stand before the mirror â donât just fix your hair or put on your makeup.
Take a moment to look deeper.
See yourself the way God sees you:
âFearfully and wonderfully made.â (Psalm 139:14)
You were created in His image.
He breathed His very life into you.
He spoke destiny and purpose over you before you ever took your first breath.
So now, stand tall. Smile at your reflection.
Because when God looks at you, He says,
âThatâs my child â and Iâm pleased.â
You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Period.
