I Love That for Us!

Hey Family,

Can I tell you something?

There are just some things that make me smile and say…

“I love that for us!”

Not because life is always easy.

Not because we never cry.

Not because we don’t experience disappointment, setbacks, or seasons that stretch our faith.

But because through it all…

God remains God.

Before we go any further, let me say that I pray this blog finds you in the best state of your heart and mind. I know life has a way of throwing unexpected challenges our way, but I also know we serve an expected God who already has the answer before the problem ever arrives.

The Bible reminds us that God will never leave us nor forsake us. If He said it, you can take it to the bank! God is not a man that He should lie, nor the son of man that He should change His mind. His promises are settled. His Word is faithful. His character never changes.

And I absolutely love that for us!

I love that we serve a God who doesn’t panic when we panic.

I love that He already knows what tomorrow holds.

I love that His Word is forever settled.

I love that we can trust Him completely, even when we don’t understand what He’s doing.

I love that for us!

Because God is faithful toward us.

When we don’t know which way to turn…

He does.

When we don’t know what to pray…

He already knows what we have need of.

When the unexpected shows up…

God has already gone before us.

Oh Family… I love that for us!

Personal Testimony

Now let me make this personal…

Without giving away all of my business—and trust me, I’ll eventually share it in small portions—I can honestly tell you that there came a season in my life when I had no choice but to trust God for absolutely everything.

There wasn’t a backup plan.

My brothers couldn’t do it.

My sister couldn’t do it.

Other family members weren’t present in my life to help carry the weight.

Even some friends had more questions than they had solutions. Before they would lend a hand, they wanted to know why… how… when… and what happened.

But God…

He made a way out of no way.

And I loved that for me.

There were days I didn’t know what my next move was supposed to be. I couldn’t see beyond the pain, the uncertainty, or the disappointment. I was trying to figure out tomorrow while barely making it through today.

But God already had tomorrow figured out.

Little by little, He began revealing His plan. He didn’t give me the entire blueprint all at once. He simply gave me enough light for the next step.

He never left me out there alone.

He never abandoned me when everyone else had moved on.

He never forgot my address.

Oh… I really loved that for me.

When I had to rebuild my life from the ground up…

God was there.

When I had to start over…

God was there.

When I thought I had reached the end of the road…

God made every crooked place straight.

And again… I loved that for me.

That’s why I can tell you with confidence that the same God who carried me will carry you.

The same God who opened doors for me can open doors for you.

The same God who made a way for me can make a way for you.

But there is one thing you must do…

You have to believe Him for yourself.

Because once you experience the faithfulness of God firsthand, you’ll find yourself saying with a smile…

“I love that for us!”

If you’re wondering what it looks like to truly depend on God, here are five foundational ways to put your trust in Him—and you’ll soon find yourself saying, “I love that for me!”

1. Depend on God Through Prayer

Before you call your family…

Before you call your friends…

Before you post about it on social media…

Talk to God first.

Prayer invites God into your situation before fear has a chance to take over. There is peace in knowing that the One who holds the universe is listening to your every word.

I love that for me!

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” — Philippians 4:6 (KJV)

2. Depend on God’s Word

Feelings change.

People change.

Circumstances change.

But God’s Word never changes.

When everything around you seems uncertain, His promises remain the same. Stand on what He said, not on what you see.

I love that for me!

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” — Matthew 24:35 (KJV)

3. Depend on God’s Timing

We love microwave miracles.

God often works through slow-cooked blessings.

Sometimes His answer isn’t “No.”

It’s simply…

“Not yet.”

When we trust His timing instead of rushing ahead, we discover that His delays are often His protection.

I love that for me!

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)

4. Depend on God’s Strength

There will be days when you simply don’t have the strength to keep going.

That’s okay.

God never asked you to carry the weight alone.

His strength shows up where yours ends. He will carry what you cannot.

I love that for me!

“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV)

5. Depend on God’s Faithfulness

People may disappoint you.

Doors may close.

Plans may change.

But one thing remains constant…

God is faithful.

Even when you can’t trace His hand, you can trust His heart. Looking back over your life, you’ll realize He has been faithful every single time.

And I absolutely love that for me!

“Great is thy faithfulness.” — Lamentations 3:23 (KJV)

You know what?

I’ve stopped saying…

“What am I going to do?”

Now I ask…

“God, what are You going to do?”

Because every time I thought it was over…

God said, “Watch Me.”

Every time I thought I had reached a dead end…

God said, “Keep walking.”

Every time I thought I was by myself…

God whispered, “I’ve been here the whole time.”

Now when God opens a door no one could open…

I love that for me!

When He protects me from what I never saw coming…

I love that for me!

When He turns my tears into a testimony…

I love that for me!

And when I see Him doing the very same thing for you…

Ohhh… I love that for us!

So the next time God shows up in your life—and trust me, He will—don’t just shout, dance, or wave your hand.

Pause for just a second…

Smile…

Shake your head…

And say,

“Look at God! I LOVE THAT FOR ME!”
