🌈 **Chile
 PLEASE!

Don’t Repeat That**

One weary Friday morning, I was minding my own business when I overheard a conversation and said, “Chile, you know that ain’t the truth!”

Have you ever listened to people talking over each other like they’re running a marathon — trying to outtalk, outshine, or out-know the next person?

Your ears perk up, and all you want to say is:

“Chile
 please be quiet.”

or

“Chile
 SHUT that mess up.”

Because sometimes the back-and-forth be SO loud, SO wrong, SO messy — and SO unnecessary.

I hear these types of conversations often, and honestly?

It’s unfair.

Why?

Because wrong information spreads fast, and lies travel quicker than the truth.

We’ve all heard the saying, especially from our former president:

“Fake news!”

It was catchy, but let’s be honest — false information is nothing new. The Bible warned us long before politics did.

Yes, you have the right to your own opinion — thank God for freedom of speech. Some countries will imprison you for expressing your thoughts. But here’s the issue:

What happens when your “opinion” is actually a lie?

What happens when your words harm, accuse, or destroy someone who did absolutely nothing wrong?

Have you ever heard someone repeat something and you KNEW it wasn’t true?

And all you could think was:

“Chile PLEASE
 stop that mess.”

“Chile
 that’s nonsense.”

“Chile
get out of here with that foolishness.”

We instantly want to defend the truth — for ourselves or others.

Guard Your Ears — Guard Your Spirit

Be careful what you listen to.

Be careful what you entertain.

Be careful what you repeat.

Some conversations are unhealthy, poisonous, and spiritually dangerous.

If it’s righteous — defend it.

If it’s harmful — depart from it.

Many lives have been ruined, relationships broken, jobs lost, and reputations destroyed because people indulged in conversations they never should’ve entertained in the first place.

So
what does GOD say about all this “Chile, please!” foolishness?

Let’s look:

What God Says About Unholy Conversation

1ïžâƒŁ Ephesians 4:29 (KJV)

“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth
”

If it tears down, harms, or poisons — don’t say it and don’t stay in it.

2ïžâƒŁ Proverbs 18:21 (KJV)

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue
”

Wrong conversations carry death — emotionally, spiritually, and relationally.

3ïžâƒŁ Proverbs 20:19 (NIV)

“A gossip betrays a confidence; so avoid anyone who talks too much.”

The Bible literally says: AVOID people who stir mess.

4ïžâƒŁ 2 Timothy 2:16 (NIV)

“Avoid godless chatter
”

Wrong conversations pull you OUT of alignment with God.

5ïžâƒŁ Psalm 1:1 (KJV)

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly
”

Blessings are connected to what — and who — you refuse to sit with.

BONUS: Proverbs 26:20 (KJV)

“Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out
”

If you stop feeding the conversation, the drama dies. PERIOD.

So
Why Did I Title This Blog “Chile
 Please!”?

Because sometimes you need one simple phrase to shut DOWN foolishness

and shut OUT ungodly conversation:

Chile
 PLEASE!

The phrase has personality, humor, and that little pinch of sass — you know the kind we use when we’re reacting with:

  • Shock

  • Disbelief

  • Annoyance

  • Humor

  • Sass

  • “Whew, Lord
 not today.”

It’s NOT about an actual child.

It’s about the moment — about expressing:

“I refuse to participate in this nonsense.”

Examples:

“Chile, I wasn’t ready for that news!”

“Chile, don’t get me started today.”

“Chile, the way my day went
”

“Chile, God is still working on me.”

My Point?

Use your mouth for truth.

Use your voice for grace.

Use your words for edification — NOT destruction.

If you don’t know the facts —

Chile please
 don’t repeat it.

If the conversation is toxic —

Chile please
 walk away.

If they want you to join their gossip circle —

Chile please
not today, not tomorrow, not EVER.

What God Says About Gossip

1ïžâƒŁ Proverbs 20:19 (NIV)

“A gossip betrays a confidence; so avoid anyone who talks too much.”

✔ Gossipers cannot be trusted.

2ïžâƒŁ Proverbs 26:20 (NLT)

“Fire goes out without wood
”

✔ If you stop participating, the mess stops.

3ïžâƒŁ Ephesians 4:29 (KJV)

“Let no corrupt communication
”

✔ If it doesn’t uplift — don’t say it.

Closing Thoughts

Be mindful of your conversations —

at work, in the grocery store, at the dentist,

even in the soup line feeding your children.

Your words matter.

Your ears matter.

Your influence matters.

And if it doesn’t build, uplift, or glorify God?

Chile
 PLEASE.

Don’t repeat that.

Let your mouth be seasoned with grace, your ears guarded with wisdom, and your heart aligned with truth.
