đ§ Are You Insane? Expecting Different Results

So, youâre expecting different results?
Doing the same thing over and over again?
Come on now â thatâs insane!
Letâs think logically for a moment.
Because whatâs going on in your mind right now⊠doesnât make sense.
And no, Iâm not here to crush your imagination â but God did say:
âCast down every imagination that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.â
â 2 Corinthians 10:5
So Iâll ask again â why are you expecting change when nothing about what youâre doing has changed?
Why are you repeating old habits and calling it faith?
Letâs make this make sense.

đ The Definition of Insanity
Weâve all heard it: doing the same thing and expecting a different result is the very definition of insanity.
Yet so many of us live stuck in cycles that keep producing the same outcomes â disappointment, lack, frustration, and confusion â all while wondering why nothingâs changing.
But hereâs the truth: your mind must change before your situation ever will.

𩞠A Generational Cycle
Let me share something personal.
I grew up in a single-parent home. My mother raised me until she passed away when I was fifteen. She did her best â and I honor her for that â but we were on family assistance for most of her life.
Not just our family, but many of her siblings, too. In the 60s, 70s, and 80s, that was common. Government help seemed like a blessing â free food, free money, free help â but there was a hidden cost.
Back then, fathers couldnât even live in the home if the family was receiving benefits. Social workers would come by to inspect the house. If there was a man or expensive items inside, theyâd hide everything â even the toaster â to make sure they didnât lose the check.
It became a way of life.
We waited by the mailbox every two weeks for that welfare check like it was payday. But what no one talked about was progress â improving, growing, building a better future.
And generation after generation, it continued.

đĄ Temporary Help, Not Lifetime Dependence
Now donât get me wrong â temporary assistance has its purpose. Sometimes you truly need help to get back on your feet. But total dependence, when you have the ability to work and create, becomes a trap.
In 2025, weâve seen it clearly. During government shutdowns, people are panicking online â âI need my EBT to feed my family.â
And yes, itâs heartbreaking â no one should ever go hungry. But whatâs also heartbreaking is watching able-bodied people remain trapped in a system that was meant to be temporary.
Could it be that weâve inherited a mindset instead of breaking it?
Could it be that a generational curse has been disguised as comfort?

âïž Time to Change the Cycle
Itâs not about race, politics, or class â itâs about mindset.
You canât want better results while making the same choices. Thatâs insanity.
You canât expect increase while repeating lack.
If you want something new, youâve got to do something new.
Itâs time to:
âą Change your mindset
âą Change your direction
âą Strategize for a better future
⹠And implement the plan God gives you
No more procrastinating.
No more excuses.
Failure is not an option.
If one thing doesnât work â try another. Keep trying until youâre no longer dependent on what was never meant to sustain you.

đ« A Prosperous Mindset
Let me leave you with this:
âBeloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.â
â John 3:2
Godâs desire is not for you to stay stuck.
His desire is for you to prosper â body, mind, and soul.
So stop walking in circles.
Stop doing the same things expecting a different result.
Instead, walk in a new direction.
Shift your mindset.
Break the cycle.
Because once your mind changes â your life will too.
