Waiting, huh?
I know a lot about thatâwaiting!
Itâs not always fun, especially when it feels like everyone around you is moving forwardâyour friends, your co-laborers in the faithâwhile youâre sitting still, waiting on God.
Itâs not the most comfortable place to be. In fact, sometimes itâs frustrating. But even when it feels slow, itâs necessary.
Is it always pleasant? No.
Is it always joyful? Not quite.
But is it purposeful? Absolutely.

The Potterâs Wheel: Where Purpose Takes Shape
Everyone will face a season of waiting.
Itâs where God perfects you, strengthens you, molds you, purges you, and transforms you into everything He designed you to become.
This is the place where the Potterâs hands take holdâpressing, shaping, and sometimes crushingâuntil your life reflects His image.
âBut now, O Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You our potter; and we all are the work of Your hand.â â Isaiah 64:8
The Potterâs Wheel is not a place of comfort, but of creation.
His firm grip is not punishmentâitâs process.
The spinning isnât chaosâitâs divine rhythm.
And the silence? Itâs not neglect. Itâs focus.
God is quiet because Heâs crafting. Heâs holding you steady while His eyes are fixed on your transformation.

The Stillness Is the Miracle in Motion
Our human nature craves movement, but sometimes, stillness is the miracle in motion.
In those quiet, hidden moments, God is aligning details you canât see.
The delay isnât denialâitâs divine preparation.
âBe still, and know that I am God.â â Psalm 46:10
Godâs silence doesnât mean Heâs absent.
It means Heâs workingâbehind the curtain, behind the chaos, behind your tears.

The Purpose in Waiting
Every waiting season carries purpose.
Itâs where patience, endurance, and peace are cultivated.
Itâs where you learn that joy isnât found in getting your wayâitâs found in trusting Godâs.
âFor still the vision awaits its appointed time⌠If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.â â Habakkuk 2:3
Thereâs sacred beauty in this season.
Itâs where your roots grow deep enough to sustain the fruit thatâs coming.

What To Do While You Wait
1ď¸âŁ Pray â not for speed, but for strength.
Ask God to steady your heart rather than rushing His process.
2ď¸âŁ Praise â even when it hurts.
Worship shifts your focus from whatâs missing to Whoâs faithful.
3ď¸âŁ Prepare â for whatâs next.
Faith without preparation is just a wish. Act like itâs comingâbecause it is.
Peace doesnât come when everything is fixed;
Peace comes when you trust that God is doing the fixing.
đ¸
The Waiting Room Has No Timer
This season doesnât come with a stopwatch.
You canât fast-forward through it or skip ahead.
But you can rest knowing thisâ
The One who holds time also holds your heart.
When God finally calls your name and opens that next door, youâll understand why you had to wait. Every tear, every pause, every prayer was preparing you for His promise.
âThose who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles.â â Isaiah 40:31
đ
Closing Reflection
If youâre sitting in your waiting room today, breathe.
Donât rush to leave.
If youâre on the Potterâs Wheel, donât try to get off.
Stay thereâHeâs not finished with you yet.
You are not forgotten; you are being formed.
You are not abandoned; you are being aligned.
Let His peace guard your heart as you wait for the promise to unfold.
This season isnât punishmentâitâs preparation.
And peace⌠is your appointment.
